| My recent trip to the Shanghai
Musicmesse trade show was an eye opener. There are quite a few bass
makers in China hat have little of no representation in the US, and one
stood out for me as having great instruments without an inflated price
tag. I bought two examples of their work directly off the trade show
floor, then imported them directly. They have the same outward
dimensions, but one it made from ordinary high quality materials, while
the other is simply spectacular. Both sound similar, and their sound is
full and growly, plenty of volume, with really excellent
response. While both have very nice tuners, ebony, and other
appointments, the 300 is in every way a cut above the 200 except
possibly the sound and playability, but you'll have to be the judge of
